FUE, formally Follicular Unit
Extraction is a relatively new method of hair transplantation. This method is
different from FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) method in which a strip of
hair is removed from the donor area and then the follicular units are taken out
of the strip. FUE involves using precision tools to harvest one follicle at a
time, and then plant them into tiny slits in the areas where balding is
prominent. FUE method has many advantages but it also loses to FUT in some
areas. Let us discuss in details
Pros of FUE Method
·
Because FUE method is more precise,
it does not leave big scars over donor area of scalp.
·
The small scars after FUE
transplantation can be easily concealed when hairs resume growth.
·
It is minimally invasive, and the
patient can go back to his routine only a few days after surgery.
·
Healing and recovery is rapid in FUE
method.
Cons of FUE Method
·
There is comparatively more chance
of follicles getting damaged upon extraction (less efficiency than FUT.)
·
Donor area must be shaved entirely
before FUT procedure although few cases in Alvi
Armani reviews did not report shaving.
·
The same “precision” ironically
makes FUE more time taking and expensive than FUT.
Pros of FUE still beat its cons in
most cases as many people do not want to live with big scars on their scalps.
Recommendations of FUE
FUE procedure is for people who do
not require a large amount of work. If you are a young patient with an MPB (Male
Pattern Baldness) or a similar condition, and you are considering shaving your
head in the future, or keep short lengths, then this method is for you. For
further queries, you can read an Alvi
Armani review or two as the examples of patients can guide you better.
However, the best option is to visit the Surgeon yourself.
